Episode V

After some followups to stories we talked about in the last podcast we jump right in to our interview. Greg and I interview a honest-to-goodness PHD: geneticist Dr. Jeanette Hyer of the University of California San Francisco. A number of subjects are covered including government funding, the promise and danger of biotechnology, popular misconceptions about genetics, and more.

Don't think that because we've interviewed a scientist that we're all professional and stuff though. Greg's phone rings a couple times (popular guy) and, although she tried to hide from her family, Jeanette's kids track her down and interrupt her while she's on the phone with us. Man, I remember doing that as a kid. Sorry mom.
